Simon with some of his students on a trip to the theatre

Experience: Simon has worked for Harrow Academy UK intermittently since 2005. His first job was teaching English Literature at the Ecole Normale Superieure de Tunis, Tunisia. He has also worked for the Lim Kok Wing University in London and continues to be responsible for the academic teaching of Shakespeare on the University of Niagara’s Summer Study Abroad programme.

Before his return to academia, Simon ran his own art-dealing business for eight years and then moved to Neuchatel, Switzerland, where he wrote poetry and did translations for the Patent wing of SWATCH. He also lived in Rome, where he gave intensive courses at the Commando Generale of the Carabinieri in Parioli before marrying and returning to London to work as a diamond specialist for The Ritz London. He holds two degrees, a BA in English and Comparative Literature from the University of Warwick, and an MA in the History of British Art and Literature (1840-1940) from the University of Reading.

Hobbies: Simon enjoys reading, especially history of the ancient world, listening to classical music, walking in the country, shooting and cooking.

Interesting fact: Simon’s student, General Dino Gallitelli, from his Roman days is now Commander General of the entire Carabinieri in Italy.
