Sam

Experience: Sam has worked at Harrow Academy UK since December 2008. She began teaching EFL in 2006, starting at Harrow College, where she originally trained as a teacher. She also taught young children and teenagers at a private school in Ealing. Before becoming an EFL teacher, she worked as a personal assistant in different industries.

Hometown:  Sam was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, but came to the UK when she was 18 and has since then studied, worked and lived in London.

Hobbies: Sam loves going to the theatre and manages to see a play a month (which means she is always poor as theatres are expensive!) She also likes art exhibitions, stand-up comedy shows, reading and listening to Radio 4.  When the weather is nice – which is not very often – she likes to go cycling and camping in the countryside.

Interesting fact:  When Sam was 6 years old she was taken by her dad to meet Mother Theresa who was visiting Sri Lanka.
